At night time, Cebu comes alive with it's active night life scene. One can find several clubs, pubs, disco houses and bars in almost every corner, and what's night life without bands in the underground scene?

Cebu is one of the islands in the Philippines which reggae found it's footings. Everywhere you look, the influence of reggae and Rastafari is very eminent, if you go to Jollibee in Colon near University of the Visayas, one can hear Hawaiian reggae in the background, several ethnic stores also has a hint of reggae in their brands, and every now then one can meet a person sporting dreadlocks in the streets or wearing the familiar colors of red, yellow and green. And of course reggae bands are every Cebuano's pride in fact Cebu is dubbed as the reggae capital of the Philippines because reggae bands here does not only play one kind of reggae which is based on Bob Marley's roots reggae but dub reggae as well as dancehall reggae are also played.

Throughout the years, Cebu have produced several reggae bands, the following are well noted for their success not only in Cebu but also in other parts of the Philippines as well.

Probably one of the well-known dub reggae bands in the entire country because of their front man Errol "Budoy" Marabiles who is well known for his comical character and stint in Pinoy Big Brother.

The band won  "Song Of The Year Award" in NU-107's Rock Awards in 2005.  They have several albums released and two songs "K-Fyne" and "Original Sigbin" were also included in th reggae compilation Island Riddims.

The group started with three friends, Gregory "Greggy Spliff"  from Bambuspliff, Ryan "Wajahrhymes" from Iron Youth and James Gerald "Cooliedread" D'Lonsod of Herbs in 2005 however the trio did not work as well as they intended it to be but then Gene, Herbs vocalist joined in and other Cebuano musicians and turned it into a nine man crew. The band then joined a contest that won them Motorola’s Rock Mo’To 2006 in Manila and were privileged to record Motorola's Christmas jingle, Motorola 12 days of Christmas.  Notable songs are "Dancy", "Living My Life" and more.

Every now and then, reggae bands come and go but one is always assured that reggae music will live on in Cebu. Viva la Rasta!!!
